Erich Auerbach and Qian Zhongshu’s Inspirations as Entry Point
(Abstract)
Wu Fusheng
In the study of comparative literature, Erich Auerbach and Qian Zhongshu both advocate a thorough examination of a certain literary phenomena through actual and extendable textual details as the starting point. An indepth discussion of their theories, practices and a few cases in their representative works Mimesis and Limited Views (Guan zhui bian) will provide reference for the study of comparative literature in the future.
