New Concepts of Chinese Children’s Picture Books in the 21st Century

Since the 21st century, the quantity and quality of Chinese children’s picture books have improved significantly. Children’s picture books imply an original view, a graphic view and a view of childhood, which fundamentally affect the ideological meaning and artistic expression of picture books. It is of great significance to explore the artistic boundaries and possibilities of original children’s picture books by looking at the formation and development of the concept of children’s picture books in China, revealing the complex and profound relationship between the concept and the art of picture books, and constructing a more reasonable aesthetics of picture books with new concepts.
