Problems and Reflections on Children’s Literature Creation in the 21st Century
(Abstract)
Wang Shuainai
Since the 21st century, children’s literature has made remarkable progress in many aspects. However, it has also revealed the symptoms such as the weakness of the “child-orientation” and the loss of the spirit of innocence, which is accompanied by the loss of the critical spirit in children’s literature. At the same time, the problem of ignoring the logic of the text is prevalent in the work due to some misunderstanding of the genre by its creators. Only by overcoming these shortcomings can children’s literature highlight its uniqueness and irreplaceable value in a more mature manner, and truly provide spiritual strength for children readers to face the reality of life.
