Men’s studies examines men and masculinities through the prism of gender, linking their practical experiences at the individual level to the intersectional social structures at the macro level to advance the production and renewal of knowledge. The development of men’s studies is essential to understanding the complexity, fluidity, locality and globality of gender relations, and fulfils its mission as an critical research field in the landscape of gender studies.
