Discourse Interpretation and Public Space Construction of Literary and Art Criticism in the Age of Mixed-Media
(Abstract)
Yang Jie
The current practice of literary and art criticism constantly updates its concepts, expands its boundaries and innovates its means, but it also encounters unprecedented challenges, mainly in terms of “helplessness” of critical paradigms, “powerlessness” of discourse interpretation and “disorder” of critical public space. At the same time, literary and art criticism has become “tribalized” and irrationalism pervades the public space of criticism. To enhance the effectiveness of the discourse interpretation, to strengthen the integration and interaction between “tribes,” and to build a good public space for criticism based on rational rules has become an important issue for the development and prosperity of literary and art criticism in the new era.
