With the development of left-wing literature and art organization in 1930s, its theoretical appeal and literary practice need to be launched in the debates with other thoughts, such as nationalist literature and art. The issue of nationality or class nature of the masses derived from it has always been the key point of opposition between the two sides. The emergence of the debate on“Two Slogans” indicates that there was a debate on the nationality or class nature of the masses in the left-wing literature and art, which also promoted the interaction and growth of the left-wing literary theory.
