Classical Works (Dianwen), Good Works (Haowen) and Classical Writers: On “20 Years of Chinese Online Literature—The Collection of Dianwen and the Collection of Haowen”

After 20 years of development,online literature has entered into a relatively independent stage. In terms of canonicity,the Peking University Online Literature Research Forum has sorted out the online works and made a summary of accomplishments by categorizing them into the collection of Dianwen and the collection of Haowen. The former places more emphasis on scholars’ visions and methods, and the latter places more emphasis on fans’ feelings and stances. For the purpose of covering the history of online literature, the collections have selected classical types, classical works and classical writers from over the 20 years of online literature, affirming their advantages and highlighting their inner limitations.
