Original Confucianism: Interaction Between Ethics and Aesthetics

In addition to its contribution to ruling powers, the greater significance of Confucian self-cultivation is the self-recognition independently and develops a broad, inner-oriented picture for the individual existence to achieve self-sufficiency. Therefore, taking qi(basic energy) supports life as the entry point, and through the exploration of the self-accomplishment of original Confucian self-cultivation, individuals will infinitely approximate the sage of ethics and aesthetics through the acquisition and practice of poetry, etiquette and music to make themselves saturate with ethic virtue and aesthetic quality.
