Reflection on the Two Modes of Rural Narrative of Ethnic Literature in Recent Years

In recent years, many ethnic minority writers have turned their attention from history to the current rural reality. The rural narrative of ethnic literature has two modes. One is a poetic view of rural areas, with a unique and rich rural experience to present the rural scenery and daily aesthetics, the other one is a rational view of rural areas in multiple horizons, emphasizing on misery reality and allegorical expression of the rural world. It is of great significance for the rural writing of ethnic literature to explore ethnic minority writers’ cultural identity from rural narrative. Only on the basis of establishing national confidence and returning to the coexistence of tradition and modernity, and rural and urban, can we reach the core of the national cultural spirit and get free of the ethnic limits in literary writing.
