Imagery Aesthetics and the Value Insistence of Aesthetic Research

In terms of the ontology of beauty, imagery aesthetics transcends dualistic opposition and the semantic analyses approach of analytic aesthetics. It poetically interprets the essence of beauty through the concept of “imagery,” which addresses the human need for value. Regarding aesthetic experience, imagery aesthetics emphasizes the metaphysical implications of aesthetics and connects the world of imagery with the spiritual home of individual life. In terms of life orientation, it promotes an ideal value of beauty, directing aesthetic activities toward a positive life path. In the theoretical process of contemporary aesthetics, in which facts and values tend to be separated, imagery aesthetics is of great significance in its adherence to the value of beauty.
