Freedom from Digital Myths and Strengthening the Historical Dimension

Under the rapid development of internet technology, a relatively stable paradigm of Chinese online literary criticism has emerged. This paradigm, rooted in digital technology and supported by internet data phenomena, not only obscures the everyday experiences and perceptions of the literary audience but also overlooks their historical context, turning online literary criticism into a game of emerging concepts. Online literary criticism should enhance its historicity and value the continuity of the audience’s experiences, perceptions, and historical contexts. By doing so, online literary criticism can gradually move away from reliance on abstract concepts and develop a critical theory and paradigm grounded in its own history.
