A Critical Outline of Xiang Yu

In terms of traditional Chinese literary criticism, xiang yu (using vivid language to interpret profound truths), zhi ren lun shi (know the author and discuss affairs), and yi jing li yi (establishing theories based on the classics) are all original criticism paradigms with long history, continuous consistency, wide application and subtle practice. As an original criticism paradigm, xiang yu has complex dimensions of interpretation and multidimensional spaces of meaning. Its research requires not only a holistic cultural perspective, but also a use of knowledge tools in the domains of ancient rhetoric and classical hermeneutics.
