The Intertwined History of the Nile: River, Environmental Issues, Policies, and Power

Throughout history, rivers have always been of great significance to human society. When studying the relationship between humans and rivers, environmental historians pay attention to examining the relevant characteristics of rivers such as flow velocity, terrain profile, and landscape. This article takes the Nile River as an example to discuss the abovementioned issues and demonstrate the methodology for studying the relationship between human society and rivers.
