Constructing Independent Chinese Knowledge System of Philosophy of Science: Based on the Research Paradigm of “Philosophy of Scientific Culture”

Faced with the dual predicament of Western tradition and “alternative” philosophy of science, Chinese philosophy of science has created a third research paradigm that is different from both “epistemology” and “theory of culture,” namely the “theory of science and culture.” In this way, it is moving towards a third form of scientific philosophy unlike the tradition and “alternative,” i.e., the “philosophy and science and culture.” The significance of constructing philosophy of science and culture lies in not only promoting the sinicization of philosophy of science, but also making systematic and original contributions to the philosophy of science. The cause is a beneficial attempt to construct independent Chinese knowledge system of philosophy of science.
