The COVID -19 and changes of international order

The COVID-19 has accelerated the historical process of great changes in the past century, and it affects the actors, contents and values in the international order profoundly. First, the pandemic had a staged impact on the power balance of big powers. The China’s relative benefits are higher than that of the U.S., and the reputation of the U.S. has been challenged. It has increased China’s voice in shaping the order. Second, it strengthened the principle of the states as centers and challenged the effectiveness of international organizations. Finally, Western liberal ideology has declined, and non-Western ideas shown great vitality. In the face of the complex international environment under the pandemic, China needs to develop its strength; secondly, China should follow the trend of international order reform and actively promote the process of multilateral cooperation and institutionalization of the international system. Finally, actively contribute to China’s plan. The concept of a community with a shared future for mankind has been widely recognized around the world and become a reliable way to solve global problems.
