As “City, better life” was established as the theme of the Expo Shanghai 2010, Chile also made a decision. That is, she not only wanted to participate in it, but also offered her own understanding and thinking on the theme. From the starting point, the concept of “Ciudad de las Relaciones” and its eight key ideas gradually come into being. The eight proposals reflect the results from the research on the urbanization in Latin America. The proposals and related studies analyze the mistakes committed in the process, and recall the various efforts to salvage the living quality of millions of residents on the continent.
