Environment and Digital Technology: Global Meta-process and Social Change

Climate change and digital revolution are global transformations having effects across the world. Although they advance in different rates, the two processes go on together in the scope of the globe. Through different structures in Internet and the consequences of climate change, the transformations empower citizens to participate in them in a new way. While folks unite in the Internet and participate in, comment and even construct policies, their role in response to climate change is not very evident. It is certain that every government needs its folks’ active participation in environmental protection and contributions to improvement of climates. In this regard, it is quite necessary to increase folks’ interest and sense of responsibility. Now, that can become true through digital network society with variable means. For the purpose, it is important to make folks more sensitive to the topics of environmental protection and activate their enthusiasm.
