An Evaluation and Analysis of American Think Tanks’ Research on China
(Abstract)
Wu Tian
Following a century of development, American think tanks have accumulated rich experience in database resources and sharing, mission and value design, and construction of networks and alliances, as well as of products, forms of presentation, etc. In recent years, new changes and trends have appeared, influenced by the political environment and the technology revolution. As China’s standing rises in the international arena, American think tanks are paying more attention to the study of China. Alongside an increasing number of institutions, scholars and achievements in Chinese studies, some irrational and subjective opinions and positions have appeared in the course of these think tanks’ research. Therefore, following and understanding the state of their current research will help us to make rational choices as we move ahead.
