On Overseas English Translation of The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons and Its Acceptance

Since the beginning of the 20th century, the translation, introduction and acceptance of overseas Chinese literary theories have become an important topic in interdisciplinary research. To clarify the overseas English translation pedigree of The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons, and with the help of WorldCat, the world’s largest online bibliographic database, to investigate the five important translators of The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons, and to make a concrete analysis of their translation, research practice and validity, can provide a rational reflection and exploration for the path of “Going Global” of traditional Chinese literary theory.
