An Exploration of County Sociology

 

The Disciplinary Value and Practical Significance of County Sociological Research (Abstract)

County society is invisible in sociological research, because the developed countries of Europe, America and Japan do not have China’s long history and stable county system and community. China’s unique county society system functions to connect grassroots society with the whole society. On the one hand, county society can be used as a tool to provide a unique perspective on China’s social structure and operating mechanisms; on the other, its uniqueness promotes innovation and progress in Chinese sociological research methods. County sociology provides uniquely fertile soil for the development of Chinese sociology, and the development of our era calls for an in-depth exploration of this field.
