On Wei Jin Metaphysics as the Emotional Philosophy of Chinese Classical Form: From Historical and Logical Dimensions (Abstract)
Zhang Qiqun
Compared with pre-Qin and Han Chinese thought and philosophy, Wei Jin metaphysics underwent a profound transformation, shown in the following three signs. First, it established rational principles and philosophical speculation; second, it formed a new natural philosophy; and third, it conducted the philosophical construction of emotional theory. These three interrelated signs constitute the classical form of Chinese emotional philosophy. The “Chinese art consciousness” that emerged in the Wei Jin period is an externalization and corroboration of Wei Jin emotional philosophy.
