On the Imagination of the Human Community in The Three Body Problem

In The Three Body Problem, it narrates the story that human world gradually gets to the unification under the threat of alien civilization. Analyzing from the comparative perspective from modern idea of nation and the historical experience of modern China, we can find the thinking thread incorporated in Liu’s imagination of human community in science fiction. He cherishes the expectation of transnational human community in a certain extent and with hesitation simultaneously. The complex attitude reflects his pondering on history, reality and future, which is closely relevant to the common historical memories and feelings shared by Chinese. It urges us to investigate the possible future of world.
