Qian Zhongwen’s Criticism of Russian-Soviet Literature and Literary Theories

Qian Zhongwen played an important role in the studies of foreign literature in contemporary China. His academic career started from learning Russian language and literatures, then he stepped from the studies of Russian literary theories into the theory of literature in general. Then he also paid close attention to contemporary criticism of literature and culture from the stance of theorist. Qian had made outstanding accomplishments in literary theory studies, literary and cultural criticism and Bahktin studies. He is a must-mentioned expert in the history of foreign literature studies in contemporary China.
