On the Imagery of You Are on the Plateau

“One of the distinctive features of You Are on the Plateau is its imagery, such as “oak Road,” “vineyard,” “plain,” “mountain,” “river Luqing” and “plateau” that can all be classified in the category of “perceptual imagery,” and “love” and “walking” that constitute the category of “imaginative imagery.”The use of imagery helps to break through the limits of language for the formation of unique literary symbols. You Are on the Plateau is a bildungsroman of human mind and growth. The so-called “plateau”is not only the goal of time and space, but also the pursuit of spirit.
