Pay Attention to Innovation Risk, Promote Sustainable Innovation (Abstract)

Innovation is a risky process, including both the risk of failure and risks in economic, political, social and ethical terms due to the “unanticipated consequences” of innovation. Failure to heed or control innovation risks will lead to a series of detrimental consequences, such as insufficient motive for innovation, declining social acceptance and unfavorable atmosphere, which will inevitably jeopardize the sustainability of innovation. In the time when innovation has become the main theme of the time, to achieve full, balanced and sustainable development, we should strengthen innovative social governance, vigorously advocate responsible research and innovation, create a good social environment for innovation, and guide innovation to meet people’s needs for a better life.
