(Abstract)
Ye Lang
Zong Baihua’s enunciation of Chinese aesthetics and art still offers important inspirations for the studies of basic theory of aesthetics. Firstly, beauty cannot be separated from the creation of the mind. Secondly, the realm of Chinese art represents the identity of object and subject, which differs from the opposition of them in Western art. Thirdly, Chinese philosophy of life inspires people to appreciate the sentiments and flavor in life in the hope to achieve an aesthetic way of living. Zong’s aesthetic thought embodies the spirit of Chinese aesthetics with Chinese characteristics, and is important to the construction of the basic theory and theoretical system of aesthetics in the 21st century.
