Contemporary Theoretical Achievements in the Sinicization of Marxism—Study the Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Series of Important Speeches

General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches since the 18th National Congress of the CPC are the latest theoretical achievements in the sinicization of Marxism during this new era with a new starting point and are an ideological weapon for the Party to unite all its members and carry out a great struggle and thus win a great victory. These speeches have scientifically observed, analyzed, estimated and grasped the complicated international situation, developmental trends and objective rules, so they are a theoretical response to the epochal tides of world history; at the same time, they have deeply analyzed the domestic situation, scientifically grasped its developmental rules, and responded to the general trend of domestic development, and are thus a scientific guide for directing the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. These speeches comprehensively expound and profoundly enrich the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the CPC; they are scientific discourses about the road, theoretical system and institutions of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and about the fundamental theory, fundamental line, fundamental program, fundamental experience and fundamental requirements of socialism with Chinese characteristics. They are also important contemporary comprehensive Chinese Marxist documents about issues of principles concerning the future and fate of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the enrichment, development and innovation of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of speeches follow a continuous central thread, namely, the basic standpoints, views and methods taken by MarxismLeninism, Mao Zedong Thought and the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and provide a splendid example of the flexible application of Marxist philosophy.
