On the heels of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the National Day holiday has arrived. The Mid-Autumn Festival, often a time for family reunions and harvest collection, fell on Sept. 27 this year. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, when the moon is supposed to be at its fullest and roundest. The National Day is celebrated on Oct. 1 with this year marking the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
