The US spies, Abe complies
The atomic bomb,
Has a power that lasts.
A persuasive effect still felt,
After 70 years have passed.
Japan was forced to cautiously reply,
When it discovered,
The US continues to spy.
There was no outrage,
When it finally learned;
No condemnation,
Only “great concern.”
Unable to stand up to Japan’s patron,
Abe finds himself in a bind.
Not willing to bite the hand that feeds,
He must keep an open mind.
By acquiescing to such subjugation,
He sacrificed the dignity of the nation.
