Research on the Phenomenon of Knowledge Integration of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Context of Big Science

An analysis of Chinese Humanities and Social Science AMI Citation Database (CHSSACD) shows that the intensity of the integration of the humanities and social sciences into external knowledge including “science, technology, agriculture and medicine” continues to increase, and the diversity of the humanities and social sciences’ knowledge sources continues to be enriched, but there are huge differences in the knowledge diffusion ability of the humanities and social sciences among different disciplines. The in-depth development of knowledge integration depends on the effective development of interdisciplinary scientific research cooperation. In the future, it is necessary to further explore the knowledge convergence and growth points in the process of knowledge integration in the humanities and social sciences, to study the main reasons for the “closedness” of knowledge in some disciplines and the path to break through, and thus to promote the transformation of knowledge integration research from phenomenal analysis to predictive excavation.
