(Abstract)
Feng Ziyi
To deepen theoretical research on the Chinese path to modernization and build the theoretical system of the Chinese path to modernization, we should not only strengthen the summary of practical experience, but also strengthen research on Marx’s social development theory to consolidate its theoretical basis. In terms of basic content, Marx’s theory of social development includes two levels: one is his general theory of social development, the other is his specific theory of modern social development. Marx’s theory of the development of modern society was mainly formed through his analysis of modern society. His research on the development of modern society has a unique methodology reflected in his use of the methods of totality, comparative research, historical analysis, and the combination of macro and micro. To highlight Marx’s social development theory under the new historical conditions, it is important to focus on the key points of activating the ideological resources of Marx’s social development theory, strengthening the rational interpretation of the Chinese path to modernization, promoting the upgrading of experience to theory, and promoting the dialogue and exchange of development theories.
