Calculation-oriented Research on Entailment of Chinese Verbs and Establishment of a Form Database

Theoretical research on textual entailment and the establishment of a form database have applied value for processing linguistic information. The entailment theories of synthetic logic and semantics and the theory of textual entailment prevalent in the field of natural language processing in recent years, with reference to relevant areas of theories of valency grammar and argument structure, show the entailment of commonly used Chinese verbs and their types and rule sets. On the basis of the verb entailment rules already been discovered, the entailment of Chinese verbs can be divided into sub-categories ordered in a hierarchy by means of grammatical and semantic features such as ［±temporal inclusion］,［±troponymy］,［±cause］,［±the same morpheme］,［±the same subject］. On this basis, setting up a database of Chinese verb entailment will provide natural language processing and other applied tasks with valuable lexical ontological knowledge.
