“The Second Combination” and the Chinese Nation’s New Mission for an Ancient State

The Chinese path to modernization has practiced cultural inheritance and development and transformed the opposition between ancient and modern China and between China and the West into cultural communication between the ancient and the modern and mutual learning among civilizations. In this way, we have promoted cultural “acculturation” by means of communication. The new culture formed by “the second combination” gives the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics a broader and more far-reaching history.
