The Urban Masses during the Revolution (1789-1792)

The protests and violence of the French Revolution had a political component, the immediate cause of which was due to the livelihood difficulties of the population, but important influences also included the call for a fair political system. The destruction of the Bastille had both political and military implications. Revolutionary ideology took shape after 1791, with violence occurred Paris and other cities across France. The Revolution brought about changes toward democracy in France, but the legal code had not yet been established.
