Calculation of the Green Development Index

(Abstract)

Drawing on the Human Development Index and taking as a basis the two dimensions of sustainable socio-economic development and the sustainable development of ecological resources and the environment, the Green Development Index bases its calculations on twelve elements and estimates and ranks the green development index value of 123 nations. Its ideas and methodology may provide useful approaches and suggestions for the sustainable development of China and the world.
