Literary Interpretation under the Concept of “Following Classicism”

Under the influence of the concept of “following classicism,” the classical study of Confucian classics interpretation has taken on a “teleology” character, which is reflected in the constancy of the concept of “classics.” At the same time, the sages and the classics, as mediators of interpretation, are both directional and practical in the development, understanding and interpretation of the “classics” as a concept. In line with the “teleology” of the study of Confucian classics interpretation, in classical literary interpretation, the “classics” have set the boundaries for the interpreters’ understanding of the “text,” i.e. the primacy of the Tao in the relationship between text and the Tao ensures that the boundaries exist.
