The contemporaneous characteristics and theorisation of China’s opening up

(Abstract)

In the 40 years of reform, China’s opening up has been going on an unique path not only conforming to the general national conditions, but also following the general rule. China’s experience is both idiosyncratic and general. In sum, the process of China’s opening up has a theorectical logic that is consistent and advancing along with times, and it should be in such a framework to analyze the key problems and proper options in China’s further opening up in the future. For the future, China’s opening up should focus on the arrangements for institutional and high standard opening up, actively participate in and promote economic globalisation, and develop a high-level open economy.
