The New Era and the Positioning of the Poet
(Abstract)
Wu Sijing
The poet has a social role. In the new era, the poet’s role should be determined by holding on to his own private space and freeing his mind, but at the same time opening up to the world, adjusting his position in the public world in the midst of the great social change, connecting “private space” and “public space” from a unique perspective, and building his own unique poetic space. Poets with a true sense of mission are poets of noble character. A person who aspires to learn poetry should work hard not only inside the world of poetry, but also outside poetry, pay great attention to his own character cultivation, integrate his life with poetry, and become a true poet worthy of the new era.
