The Prerequisite Questions and Interpretation of the Study of the Marxist Political Philosophy (Abstract)
Li Dianlai
After more than ten years of efforts by scholars, the study of Marxist political philosophy has made great progress. However, some of the prerequisite theoretical questions contained in and derived from this field have not yet been fundamentally interpreted and resolved, which has become an important factor restricting the development of this field to a deeper level. Three prerequisite questions deserve to be noticed. The first one is how to deal with the opposition and mutual non-nterference between historical materialism and political philosophy. The second is how to accurately grasp the position and status of political philosophy in Marxist philosophy. The third is how to comprehensively define the relationship between Marxist political philosophy and contemporary Western political philosophy. If these questions are not fundamentally interpreted and resolved, the study of Marxist political philosophy will have difficulty obtaining its true academic foundation, and thus it will have difficulty rising to a higher level of reflection.
