Social security system reform urgently needed

Warning that lack of fairness in China's social security system may increase risks of exacerbating social conflicts, Professor Zheng Gongcheng from Renmin University of China noted that "China's social security system has long been in an experimental stage rather than a full-fledged one, aggravating the lack of public trust." Speaking at the Annual Meeting of the Thirty-Person Forum for China's Social Security held at his university on Feb. 22, Zheng elaborated on the risks of China's social security system.
