The Mystification and Disenchantment of Research on Zhou Zuoren’s Thoughts on Female

In the research of Zhou Zuoren’s thoughts on female, there exists a conventional path of discovery-construction-deconstruction.Most scholarships repeat the authoritative discourse from various perspectives.A few rational attempts have not yet been widely recognized. Due to the rigid mode of thinking, lack of originality and skepticism, and the uncomplete interpretive paradigm, many scholars have over-respected Zhou Zuoren’s thoughts on female and therefore gave rise to the mystification. Only by demystification returning to rationality, departing from the conventional path and acknowledging the complexity of history and human being, can accurate and realistic judgments and evaluations be made.
