Report on archeological discoveries in Henan released
Press conference "2012 Five Major Archeological Discoveries in Henan Province"
On March 12th, the results of the “2012 Five Major Archeological Discoveries in Henan Province” were released, naming the Paleolithic sites of Sun Hole in Luanchuan County; the Neolithic sties of Xia Village in Xichuan County; town sites from the Western Zhou Dynasty in Guanzhuang Town of Xingyang County; noble tombs from the State of E in Xiaxiangpu Village of Nanyang City; and passages of the Grand Canal at Liyangcang sites of the Yongji canal and the Zhengzhou passage of the Tonji canal. Experts asserted that these five major archeological discoveries will provide abundant resources for understanding the history of Henan Province.
