In the Age of Artificial Intelligence, Is Literature Still Important
(Abstract)
Wang Feng
Is literature still important in the age of artificial intelligence? Some argue that while artificial intelligence can be widely applied across various fields, the core of literature should not be “artificialized,” as this would signal the complete degradation of the human spirit. In truth, literature is constantly evolving—it is a historical concept, not one with a fixed meaning. However, if we view literature as a form of human-machine collaboration, it remains important. Its role and value in the social system have simply shifted, and its importance has changed along with it.
