The New Direction of the Theoretical Study of China’s Transportation Economy

(Abstract)

After more than 40 years of unremitting efforts, the theoretical research of China’s transportation economy has formed a highly original “1+2+1” methodology system of transportation economics with Chinese characteristics. In recent years, progress has been made in fields of material and information relations, distributed transportation supply, generalized subsidies, urban transportation, deepening institutional reform, and comprehensive benefit evaluation. At present, the new challenges of building a sustainable transportation system, the new task of solidly promoting high-quality development, and the new mission of accelerating the construction of a country with strong transportation network and digital China are jointly promoting the theoretical research of China’s transportation economy to achieve integrity and innovation in the exploration of practical problems, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the development of transportation economics and even economics.
