Aesthetic and Non-Aesthetic Paradigm of Literary Theory and Its Effect

The dual structured “aesthetics and non-aesthetics” was the dominant research paradigm of literary theory with Chinese characteristics in the 1980s, and its generation, division and bridging have been one of inner developmental motivation of literary theory with Chinese characteristics in nearly 40 years. Remained theoretical value and explanatory potential, this paradigm can be transformed and developed as necessary in reference to the new reality and new concepts.
