The Modern Development of Mohist Studies

Modern studies of Mohism have developed amid the tension of the conflicts and integration of ancient and modern and East and West. In its prospective construction, the top priority lies in the modern interpretation of Mohism, making it an integral part of modern Chinese culture. This rests on Mohism’s creative transformation and innovative development. Passing on the core concepts of Mohism and at the same time absorbing nutrition from modern civilization will make ancient Mohist thought compatible with modern civilization, which will encourage Mohism studies to become more modern and scientific.
