The Creative Paths and Poetic Reflections of the “Post-70s” Poets in the New Century
(Abstract)
Liu Bo
The post-70s poets have inherited many of the values of the Misty Poets and the Third Generation poets, while reflecting on and reconstructing their aesthetic paradigms as necessary. They break the confrontational writing pattern of the past and open the door to an inner dialogue. In the process of gradually improving their professionalism, the post-70s poets have also shifted from simple emotional writing to richer cultural experience writing, and have maintained consciousness of difficulty. Under the pressure of the three traditions of classical Chinese poetry, modern Western poetry and a century of new poetry, how the post-70s poets can escape from the “anxiety of influence” and construct a new tradition that is uniquely their own is also a problem.
